Los Gatos shows up for the 2014 WAG auction and fundraiser

The Los Gatos real estate market is what it is for many reasons – not the least of which is the Los Gatos Union School District.  Although there are many, very good neighboring schools (some posting better test scores even) I have to say that I am impressed by the way Los Gatos shows up for its schools.

Along with some 250 others, my wife Christina and I got dolled up last night and went out on the town for the 2014 WAG, the annual auction and fundraising event for Louise Van Meter Elementary School where our daughter is a third grader.

The Home and School Club did an outstanding job organizing and presenting the entire event.  The room at Villa Ragusa looked awesome with every table a different theme from the 1920’s including Coco Chanel, Al Capone, Babe Ruth and the Untouchables where Christina and I sat with friends new and old.

From my perspective, the event was a huge hit.  Everybody looked great, the wine flowed, the live auction appeared to raise lots of money, “Out of the Blue” played a great set and everybody danced.

This is community.  This is where we live.  Los Gatos is home
